Practicing quick ink sketching. It’s fun, it turns out ok even with mistakes because the medium is so beautiful and casual, and it is liberating because you can’t correct anything, so you just go ahead and do it. Then do it again, then again. This is the third attempt. You really don’t want to see the first two. Good news? One sketch takes way less than 15 minutes.

Yes yes yes! Yelena, you are a psychic support to me in my goal of doing more sketching. (Really love your work, too, by the way. Beautifully rendered drapery and the face is always so difficult with ink–nicely done.
Lovely! I really love your work.
You really have a beautiful style.
Thanks, guys. I am having a problem with spontaneity of lines. Some of them are very stiff and don’t flow as they should. Need to practice more.
Yelena, your gorgeous work is inspiration to get going on that creative part, seemingly hidden away in a closet. Thank you for giving us all such wonderful work to admire and enjoy. Keep it up!
Why thank you, Connie. I am trying my best to keep sketching, it gives an illusion of something being accomplished besides coding, project management, and sorting out host idiosyncrasies
