Mom and Baby Heron

One of my goals this year is to get more comfortable using Photoshop.  I started with Fireworks and it is so easy to revert back when I can’t figure something out in PS.

I took this photo on vacation in Florida.  We were visiting Lighthouse Point Park in Ponce Inlet and came upon this momma heron with her baby.

I used this tutorial to create pencil sketch version of the photo below.

  1. Expanding your horizons, and stretching out the right side of the brain, will enhance your programming.

    BTW, the little bird is a snowy egret. Amazed you got the two of them in one shot though! Good photography just by itself!

    Well as I get older I need all the help I can get :-)

    I just assumed since they were staying so close together that they were mom and baby. Now in retrospect, it may have just been all the fish in that spot.
