I’ve been so behind in posting for the daily design challenge — I have several clients who have bugged me for their “new” desktop calendar freebie since I put the first one out in January, so here’s what I’ve done for March.
The first is a grungy calendar – I’m experimenting with texture and wallpapers – trying to learn how much is too much, and what is enough…not quite sure I’ve achieved the right mix here, but it took about 25 minutes and that’s all I the time I had for it. I’ve looked for the original source on the wallpaper (I downloaded it from deviantart), but can’t find it, much to my chagrin.
The second is more of a collage/scrapbook feel for a lighter look – it’s March — spring, right? I used some elements from a digital scrapbook kit I purchased from Sarah Grimwood when she closed her design shop down last year. I thought I’d use them in my scrapbook pages, but haven’t had the time to do any of that so far this year.

The design is so fresh and contemporary. Well done.
That first one is ominous goodness. If I was into desktop calendars, I would have that.
