I started doing web design in 1999 as an offshoot of a wahm sewing business I was running. I quickly discovered that I loved digital creativity much more than sewing, so I put away the needles and was off and running. I went back to college in 2001 and got a degree in software engineering, but learned that I didn’t like working for someone else and couldn’t make enough $ on my own in a short enough time to help my family. I ended up getting a job at an insurance agency doing customer service (I actually love my day job; mostly because of the people I work with), but I miss the creativity of writing code and creating graphics.
I’ve recently had some people approach me about webwork, so I’m back in the game. I’m slowly getting my feet wet again and playing catch-up because while I was standing still, the technology kept charging ahead.
